Graduates Plan on Helping Society Through STEM
Dixon High School recently hosted the Scholarship Awards Ceremony at the school’s community theater. It was a full-house with dozens of family members, friends, school officials and community members. Out of the 255 graduates for the DHS Class of 2022, 63 exceptional students were awarded with scholarships from various community members and organizations.
Tully Consulting Group was honored to award the Tully Group STEM Scholarship to Marissa Gamino and Derick Lapurga. Derick and Marissa were selected for the award after long and careful consideration. Tully Group received a few dozen applications, all of whom were very competitive. Ultimately, Derick and Marissa were chosen for their high grade point averages, exceptional community service, extracurricular activities and impactful personal essays.
The Tully Group STEM Scholarship is geared towards students who will be majoring in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM). Each scholarship is valued at $1,000.00.
